Building stronger communities through purpose and action
Founded in 2026, the Thamsanqa Foundation was established in response to a clear gap in educational support and youth empowerment within communities. Recognizing the urgent need for inclusive development, the organization focuses on supporting neurodiverse children by creating environments where they can thrive and feel valued. The foundation also prioritizes training for teachers and parents, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to better understand and support children with diverse learning needs. Through its programs, children are stimulated across all areas of vulnerability, including emotional, cognitive, and social development. In addition, the foundation is committed to empowering youth by providing access to resources, mentorship, and opportunities that foster growth, independence, and confidence. By addressing both education and empowerment, the Thamsanqa Foundation aims to build a more inclusive, supportive, and equitable society for all children and young people.
To provide structured mentorship that supports personal growth, education, leadership development, and social responsibility through guidance, support, and positive role modelling
To develop empowered, confident, and responsible individuals who contribute positively to their communities.

Sifiso ‘Ona’ Ngwane is a Xhosa theatre-maker, writer, director, musician, and academic from the Eastern Cape. Rooted in Nguni storytelling and her grandmother’s intsomi, her work blends ritual drama, African womanist thought, and decolonial aesthetics to explore migration, intergenerational grief, ancestral return, and cultural resilience. Founder of Azanian Dynasty, she creates bold theatre bridging the personal and political, with works like Umkhangeli Ongenagama and the developing Izilo—which reimagines women’s erased roles in the Frontier Wars—at the core of her practice. A part-time lecturer at AFDA and the Wits School of Arts, she approaches her work with radical care, honest reflection, and quiet fire, transforming private reckonings into resonant, shared offerings.
